2. Ride the Cable Car to the Historic Kasbah of Agadir
Agadir Cable Car is one of the city’s newest and most exciting attractions, linking the city center to the historic Kasbah of Agadir Oufella. The 1.7-kilometer journey takes about 10 minutes and treats you to breathtaking 360-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean, the marina, and Agadir’s modern city layout.
As the cabin glides up the mountainside, you’ll spot the massive “God, King, Country” inscription overlooking the city. With its fully glass-walled cabins, the ride is not only scenic but also comfortable and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
There are a few ways to reach the Kasbah, you can join a guided tour, take a taxi, or hop on the L24 local bus. At the top, you arrive directly at the ruins of the 16th-century fortress. Today, the Kasbah has been thoughtfully restored with accessible walkways that let you explore the ancient walls while taking in sweeping views from 236 meters above the city. It’s also one of the best sunset spots in Morocco, where history, scenery, and modern engineering come together in one unforgettable experience.
